Here at Camp Mary & Martha, we place a lot of emphasis on our identities in Christ. A HUGE part of this identity is that we were created for good works to glorify God. We want to remind everyone of that!
Story of Mary & Martha
In Luke 10, we read a story about sisters, Mary and Martha. They invited Jesus to come into their home. Martha was anxious about hosting Jesus, while Mary was more concerned with sitting in His presence. Jesus told Martha that Mary had chosen the better portion. This is the lesson we’d like to share with teen girls. Serving others is so important, but we aren’t supposed to be consumed and anxious about it. We can serve like Martha, but with the heart of Mary.
